Red Clay Sound Haus (RCSH) is a sound-centric experience and collective archiving and amplifying Black sound. The immersive project has four thematic directives: Land, Love, Labor, and Legacy, which amplify the sound of Black San Francisco. It explores architectural sites, such as multi-generational Black-owned houses, Black churches, and spaces of gathering, as instruments imbued with personal narratives. RCSH is led by artist Tossie Long, along with artists, musicians, videographers, and sound engineers from San Francisco and the Bay Area.

Concurrent with the exhibition is the release of their first limited edition publication documenting their sound, collaborators, and methodologies.

BWP hosts an opening event on Thursday, June 6th, from 6:30–9:00PM. The opening will present full, 4-channel sound and opening ritual. On Saturday, July 5th , BWP will host an invitational Black Women’s luncheon for tending to our literal and metaphorical house. Additional Saturday events include a Sound & Tea Ritual on July 19th and a closing event on July 26th, with quadraphonic sound experience and a makers market, both from 3 to 5pm.
