Join us at stARTup Art Fair

Black & White Projects is excited to be a non-profit partner at Startup Art Fair, the colorful art event returning to San Francisco with renewed energy and purpose. Over the April 18-20, 2025 weekend, Startup returns to the fun and funky Hotel Del Sol, the iconic 1950s motor lodge in the beautiful Marina District adjacent to the Bay, the Palace of Fine Arts, and the Golden Gate Bridge. The fair runs concurrently with the prestigious San Francisco Art Fair at Fort Mason—which is within walking distance of the del Sol.

Presented in Room 316, and centered on the theme of The Body Domestic, BWP will feature works by Afatasi, Beatrice L. Thomas aka Black Benatar, Dorian Katz aka Poppers the Pony, Evelyn Leder, Midori, Susan R. Kirshenbaum, and Tossie Long and the Red Clay Sound Haus Collective.

Startup Director Ray Beldner shares “By aligning with SF Fair, a cornerstone of the Bay Area art scene since 2011, we’re participating in what promises to be an extraordinary weekend of art discovery in San Francisco where tens of thousands of visitors will be coming to discover and buy art.” After a five-year hiatus, Startup Art Fair returns with a profound conviction: now, more than ever, we need artists to help guide our culture. In times of political division and complexity, artists offer unique perspectives, challenge our perceptions, and illuminate the human experience in ways that transcend traditional discourse. They are essential storytellers, cultural innovators, and critical thinkers who help us understand ourselves and our world more deeply.

Created for artists, by artists, Startup Art Fair is a unique platform where independent talents
take control of their careers and connect directly with collectors, curators, and art professionals
in an intimate and happening boutique hotel setting.
