BLACK LIVES

The continued state-funded and sanctioned brutality and systemic grinding down of Black, Brown, Indigenous, Queer, and Trans people has hit a fever-pitch while the global pandemic disproportionately harms these same communities, and is being blamed on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders who are experiencing an increase of racist acts against them. We are awed by the global response that a newly-focused world has provided through protests, actions, and dialogue. We also recognize and remind that the this terror is not new—it is continued and daily, and it is hundreds of years old.

We stand in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and Movement for Black Lives. Black & White Projects was created and is run by an intersectional Black Woman. BWP thrives in its intersectionality and continues to work for the liberation of our people—not just some, but all; not just now, but always.

We encourage you to learn about the Movement for Black Lives and the many other organizations with resources for progress and liberation. Here is a small starting list:

Movement for Black Lives (#M4BL)
