Ever wonder what exactly it’s like to be Jason? Be Jason is a futurist retrospective of augmented beings. It is on view October 26 through December 1, 2018. A costumed reception (costumes required; masks can be provided) will be held Friday, October 26, 7 to 10PM, and a closing family day and S.Kitchen party will be hosted Saturday, November 24, 2 to 6PM.
San Francisco-based artist Jason Wyman transforms the white box of Black & White Projects into a fully immersive and entirely participatory installation that stretches the limits of the gallery—and of be-ing. By consenting to cross the threshold into the gallery, you will become both the art and Jason. The space is arranged in four stations, each inviting the newly created Jasons to Map, Make, Become, and Read Jason. Each station augments each Jason’s be-ing, generating and iterating infinite Jasons. The new Jasons leave with a Paper Jason to spread into the cosmos.
