Tim Roseborough: Casual Cruelties

June 16 – July 29, 2017

“Casual Cruelties” is a cycle of nine videos by artist Tim Roseborough that explore how long-standing historical conditions can influence casual and intimate human interactions. The videos consist of an “actor” and “subject” who maintain an ambiguous and charged relationship, alluding to histories of domination and colonialism.
